WHAT IS WORKING WITH A COACH THERAPIST LIKE?

 

My experience as a Psychotherapist underpins my work as a Coach. You may be finding things difficult at the moment and want to talk someone about it but aren't quite sure who to go to. Coaching and psychotherapy both work to deepen self-awareness, but they are different in approach. Coaching is future focussed whereas Psychotherapy explores past experience, reflecting upon and processing unresolved trauma. Working with me  involves a bit of both. I bring knowledge and experience gained over many years to offer the best of both worlds to my clients.

WHY SHOULD I WORK WITH A COACH THERAPIST?

 

Because of my unique combination of skills. Plainly speaking, there are very few Personal Development Coaches or Life Coaches who possess a robust clinical qualification and the experience to match. My training helps us gain insight into your internal world in a meaningful way enabling us to change your mindset and get rid of the subconscious beliefs, habits and patterns that block you from making progress in your life.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COACHING AND LIFE COACHING?

Personal Development Coaching is essentially Life Coaching, just a different name for the same offering! It's a dynamic, goal based process for those looking for support in accomplishing their goals and living the life they desire. My experience as a psychotherapist means I do this with insight, in a non-confrontational way. I'm not here to badger you into change, but if you want to set goals, there is some accountability on your part because when you are chasing your dreams you can get distracted! Working with me as your Life Coach offers you clarity and focus - the anti-dote to overwhelm. Clarity and focus are vital in keeping you on track so that you actually do the things you need to do in order to progress.

 HOW DOES CHANGE HAPPEN?

 

Coaching is a process of discovery to stimulate change, so in our sessions together we will work to empower you with a greater sense of self awareness, clarity and purpose. As part of this process we can set goals and plan steps to achieve them. This is your investment in your own self development - growth takes courage and action and I will to support you in your journey.

 

There is also a therapeutic element to the work because ultimately this is about you and your needs - your hopes, wishes and desires. These are honoured in our sessions and it is a place of non-judgement. Every person is unique and the process is tailored to you. We will work together to free you any from regret, self-doubt or negative thinking thats blocking your progress whilst always talking into account your emotional well-being.
